Teahan leaning towards basketball

Day two at the Price Chopper KC Prep tournament started off on the wrong foot for KC Pump N Run. 6-foot-4 guard Conner Teahan struggled to find his shot throughout the game, finishing with nine points. Jayhawk Slant spoke to Teahan about his game, as well as the status of his recruitment.

With so many college coaches on hand to watch KC Pump N Run this weekend, Teahan may feel the extra pressure to perform at a higher level. As a two-sport athlete, Teahan has the opportunity to play football or basketball at the collegiate level. Playing both, however, isn't going to be an option for the local star.

Currently, many mid-major schools are getting involved in the recruitment of Teahan for basketball. Coaches from Kansas have also approached the 6-foot-4 guard; however, the Jayhawk football staff has yet to contact Teahan about playing football.
