Skill Camp makes big impression on Lucas-Perry
Arizona fans weren't very familiar with 6-foot-1, 191-pound combo guard Laval Lucas-Perry when he arrived in Tucson for the Lute Olson Skill Camp.
Even though the athlete from Flint, Michigan certainly wasn't one of the camp's most recognizable players entering the weekend, he proved that he can play basketball at a very high level. In fact, Perry came into Tucson with offers from Wisconsin, Penn Sate, Boston College, Marquette and Dayton.
He left Arizona with one more offer.
"Arizona offered me," Lucas-Perry said. "They said they loved me and want me down there. I'm really going to take that into consideration. I'm just flattered with the offer."
Performing so well that he earned an offer from Arizona, it's safe to say that the Skill Camp was a success for Lucas-Perry. From playing with some NBA stars to hearing feedback from Olson and his staff, Lucas-Perry had a reason to be all smiles throughout the weekend.
