Top junior waiting

INDIANAPOLIS - Slated to only have one scholarship to give in 2008, Purdue's men's basketball coaching staff will have some decisions to make in coming months.

Coach Matt Painter and Co. don't appear to have offered their only vacancy to any player yet, as they look like they'll take some time to gauge their needs before doing so.

Marion High School junior-to-be guard Julius Mays appears eager to find out what they'll do.

The Boilermakers are far from alone in the mix for the 6-foot-2, 180-pound scoring guard.

Xavier and Indiana have also offered a scholarship.
