Roe emerging as elite 2008 prospect

Delvon Roe, a 6-7 forward from Lakewood, Ohio, St. Edward, put together an impressive performance last week at the NIKE All-American Camp in Indianapolis, solidifying his place among the top 20 prospects in the rising junior class.

"He had a great time. He played well, and probably opened up a lot of eyes," said Roe's AAU coach, Drew Joyce.

Roe played well enough at Nike Camp to earn a spot on one of the underclassmen All-Star teams. In the All-Star game, Roe scored 15 points, including two three-pointers.

Roe was also effective last month at the NBA Player's Association Top 100 Camp, averaging 10.3 points a game.

A versatile player with the ability to score in the paint and along the perimeter, Roe is well-suited playing in a fast-paced, transition environment where he gets a lot of opportunities to finish plays.
