Luke Babbitt enjoys time in Tucson

Arizona brought in some pretty talented players for its 2006 Skill Camp but very few of them have or will hear from the amount of top programs that are after Luke Babbitt. Between Arizona, Texas, Duke, UCLA, Washington, Syracuse, Gonzaga and Illinois, Babbitt's list is pretty impressive and it's only going to get longer.


The 6-foot-8, 215-pound combo forward from Galena High School in Reno, Nevada, Babbitt is described by Rivals.com recruiting expert Jerry Meyer as a player that does it all on the court.


"A versatile player who can score inside with his penchant for establishing position and then with his agile footwork, Babbitt also has a very nice face up jumper out to the three-point line," Meyer says.


"Also skilled as a passer and rebounder, Babbitt has the ability to impact the game anywhere on the court although his lateral quickness must improve to guard a high-major perimeter player. A tough competitor, Babbitt has a polished all around game and is one of 2008's better prospects."
