Cavaliers stay active in pursuit of Alabi, Katuka

In just a matter of days, college basketball coaches will be allowed back on the road and player evaluations will be a huge part of the coming weeks for every staff, Virginia included. Two players that the Cavaliers have been actively recruiting are Solomon Alibi and Joseph Katuka, post players from Montverde Academy in Florida. "The schools right now that are involved are Florida State, UVa, St. Joe's, Ohio State, Indiana, Clemson and Arizona," Sutton said. "Once the evaluation period is over, we'll know better who is recruiting each player and then start to narrow things."

One constant has been the efforts of Virginia's coaching staff with respect to Alibi and Katuka, who are both natives of Nigeria and close friends.

"They've done a very good job, and we've been very pleased with the way Coach (Rob) Lanier and Coach (Dave) Leitao have recruited both players according to the guidelines we have set up," Sutton said.
