Williams now firmly on UVa's radar after camp

If you followed CavsCorner.com's weekend coverage of the Virginia basketball program's Elite Camp, you heard the name Elliott Williams come up on several occasions. The 6-foot-4, 170-pound combo guard from Memphis, Tenn., was one of the top players at the camp, and he put up some huge scoring numbers over the weekend. We caught up with Williams, a rising junior, to find out more about his recruitment.

Williams arrived in Charlottesville very much on UVa's radar, but the coaching staff was taken by surprise at just how talented Williams is.

Just days earlier he had earned at verbal scholarship offer from Memphis after showcasing his skills at the Tigers' elite camp.

And after scoring 33 and 29 points in two of his games and impressing with his overall game, especially at the offensive end of the floor, Williams achieved the same accomplishment in Charlottesville, and casually commented, "I felt like I had a really good weekend."
