Video: Summers nets 40 at Izzo Spartan Shootout

EAST LANSING - Led by red-hot Michigan State commitment Durrell Summers, Detroit Redford Covenant jumped out to a 31-10 first-half lead and never looked back against outclassed Frankenmuth at the Tom Izzo Spartan Shootout Friday afternoon.

Summers scorched the nets in the Breslin Center auxiliary gym for 40 points in a runaway victory Friday afternoon.

The Redford Covenant star's high-flying performance even diverted some eyes away from the much-anticipated showdown between outstanding 2008 point guards Anthony Crater and Korie Lucious playing out on the adjacent court in the Breslin Center auxiliary gym.
