Cats on Jordan's trimmed list?

DeAndre Jordan is one of the top centers in the Class of 2007, and he's also one of Tubby Smith's top targets. Jordan will soon narrow his list, and there is a good chance Kentucky will make the cut.


"They have a pretty good chance," Jordan said. "Not just because of their reputation, but because of the way they develop players, the style of play, and stuff like that."


Another factor is the efforts of the Kentucky coaching staff. Smith and his assistants have put in ample time with Jordan, and the Houston big man hasn't forgotten.


"I have heard a lot from Kentucky," he said. "I've talked to Coach Smith and Coach (Reggie) Hanson. They tell me what's involved with their system, that whenever their big guys leave they need somebody to step in real quick, and they're seeing if I'm up for it."
