Blair is healthy and producing
The Pittsburgh Jam Fest was a major event for the Pittsburgh Jots and their star player, DeJuan Blair. Blair, who is still recovering from a knee injury, had an opportunity to show college coaches what he can do. While he wasn't named MVP, it was Blair who was the most consistent and productive player on the floor for Jots all tournament long.
Last summer was a tough time for Blair. He had to miss the entire summer while he recovered from a torn ACL. However that ACL seems to be doing fine now, and Blair is trying his best to put on a show. When asked about the knee, Blair said, "I feel great, it feels great. I'm wearing two knee braces, man, trying to protect it at all times. I'm trying not to get hurt at all."
After an opening round win over the Central Jersey Hawks, Blair was not happy with his play, but as long as his team won he was happy. "I didn't play to my potential. I usually don't do it, but I let the refs get into my head. Hey, all is good today."
