Moore Ready To Team Up Again in Norman





Leading up to National Signing Day defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach, Mike Stoops had already reeled in a talented defensive back class of Hatari Byrd, Stanvon Taylor, Ahmad Thomas and Dakota Austin. He still wasn't done just yet. There was one other prospect Stoops was still working to try and add to the 2013 class as well and that was Fresno (Calif.) Central East four-star safety prospect, L.J. Moore.

On Feb. 6 the hard work Stoops put in for Moore ended up paying off when the 6-foot-1 and 173-pound prospect signed with the Sooners. After a long and winding road that saw Moore have interest in Oklahoma, then at one point say he was no longer considering the Crimson and Cream due to some confusion which was then followed up by him becoming re-interested, the chance to play with Byrd, his high school teammate and good friend.

"The coaching staff was great; I love both coach (Bob Stoops and Mike) Stoops' at that," Moore began. "Being over there with Hatari gives you a sense that you have somebody with you. And I feel like they have a chance to do great things at Oklahoma and I want to be a part of it."
