Rivals100 DE planning Northwest trip

Things are going well for Eddie Vanderdoes. The 6-foot-4, 285 defensive lineman has amassed dozens of BCS offers for football, was just invited to the Army All-American game, and is rated as the No. 21 player overall in the country.

Right now it is baseball time for the Placer Hillman, and Duck Sports Authority caught up with their starting pitcher and first baseman.

"Baseball is going great," reported Vanderdoes. "We just won our tournament we were in so I'm excited about that. We played well as a team so things are going really well right now.

The left-handed hurler has been racking up some gaudy numbers on the mound.

"I'm pitching well," admitted Vanderdoes. "I threw the first day of the tournament, first game. I struck out 16 in six innings and we won. I was just on. My stuff was working, my velocity was really good. It was just one of those days where you have a really good day."
