Smith has top-five

Even with early enrollee wideout Vincent Dallas on the field for the Vols on Saturday the need for more depth at wide receiver was obvious. With only five scholarship players suiting up for the Vols this spring and only DeAnthony Arnett slated to enroll this summer, the need for more receivers is there and Akron, Ohio prospect Corey Smith was in Knoxville to witness it first hand.

The 6-foot, 170-pound pass-catcher's trip to Tennessee, for this weekend's Orange and White game was his second visit, and said he left with a good feeling about the experience.

"It was good. We got a good look at the program," Smith said. "Overall, everything was great."

He was able to speak to head coach Derek Dooley and wide receivers coach Charlie Baggett about how bad they need help at wide receiver in the coming years.
