Vols land point guard

Cuonzo Martin nailed down his first verbal commitment as the Tennessee head coach on Sunday afternoon, pulling point guard Wes Washpun out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa into the Vols' fold. "I spent a lot of time on Saturday talking things over with my family, trying to decide what was best for me and it just seemed like going with coach Martin and picking Tennessee was the right fit."

Martin called Washpun to touch base quickly after he got the Tennessee job and then reached out again later this week with a firm scholarship offer.
