Stock rising for Dotson

A rising prospect out of the 2009 class from Washington state is super sophomore Aaron Dotson who is coming off a stellar season at Garfield High School of Seattle, Wash. Dotson led the Bulldogs to the 4A state tournament with a season scoring average of 18.1 ppg and was named second-team all-league for KingCo 4A. Dotson will be joining the Rotary Select AAU team again this spring/summer playing a busy tournament schedule.

Although still early in the recruiting process, Dotson has already drawn early interest from University of Washington and Washington State as well as several West Coast Conference schools. Dotson commented on his high interest in the University of Washington program. "I haven't focused too much on what schools I'd like to go to yet. But I do like UW a lot, I've gone to watch some of their games live."

In terms of his game, Dotson is an exceptional athlete. "He's an explosive leaper. He averages around two or three dunks a game", said Rotary Select coach Darryll Hennings. At 6-foot-4, Dotson is a versatile swingman who can play a variety of positions. "He can rebound the ball extremely well, runs the floor very well, and is an accurate mid-range shooter. He's played center mostly up until last year but is developing more guard skills," said Hennings.
