Harris staying the course

He's been one of the fastest risers in the rankings since a stellar junior year and strong, spring AAU season established him as one of the toughest players in his class. In fact, Detroit Redford guard Corperryale Harris has become one of May's hottest commodities, with Michigan and several other programs after him heading into the summer.

The interest started to crescendo when Harris led Redford to the Class A state semifinals, working inside and getting the to line consistently. It picked up even more at the King James Tournament in Akron at the end of April when he and his The Family teammates took down the Michigan Hurricanes, Harris putting up 15 points and nine boards while holding former U-M commitment Alex Legon to 10 points and six boards in an 11-point win for The Family.

Wisconsin, Marquette, Cincinnati, Kansas, Indiana, Miami (Fla.) and Tennessee are just a few of the schools on Harris's expanding list, and he's intent on taking his time to see who else might call. MSU head coach Tom Izzo rang recently to let Harris know of his interest as well.
