Memphis' Miller Talks Recruiting

Atlanta -- The 2007 Class inside the state of Tennessee isn't stocked with the kind of off-the-charts basketball talent that the 2006 was able to boast, but the cupboard isn't completely bare. One of those prospects who is regarded as a high priority by several big-time programs is Memphis point guard Maurice Miller, a player who has been on the Vols' board for some time. Miller was part of a talented field at the Wallace Prather Memorial Tournament at Georgia Tech this past weekend, and talked about where he stands with recruiting.

Miller (6-foot-1, 183 pounds) saw his stock slip a bit in the latest Rivals.com rankings for the '07 class, but he's seen no slow down in the level of recruiting attention he's been getting from colleges.

Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Memphis Oklahoma, LSU and Alabama are pursuing Miller.

From that group, Miller noted that Georgia Tech was the program that was recruiting him the hardest.

Miller helped lead Raleigh-Egypt to a 35-2 record this past year and a berth in the semi-finals of the state tournament.

Rivals.com rates Miller as a three-star prospect, the No. 22 point-guard in the '07 Class and the No. 137 overall player in the nation.
