Andy Rautins part two?

Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei shooting guard Katin Reinhardt has seen a change in his recruitment over the last couple of weeks. Those changes have led him to become a free prospect instead of remaining a Southern California commitment.

"I made the de-commitment because I really wanted to see if USC was the right fit for me and look at other options. They told me they won't be recruiting me anymore so it's no longer an option."

Now schools are starting to take note once again and one of those programs is Syracuse.

"They have been on me since my freshmen year, but nothing about an offer because I committed to USC last December and now the process is starting over."

A Syracuse offer would mean a lot to the shooting guard prospect.

"An offer from Syracuse would mean a lot and they would definitely be a school I would love to go to. I've been a Syracuse fan since I was very little and my dad loves them too.

If an offer does make it his way and he picks the Orange Reinhardt feels his game is going to look similar to a former Orange player.

"If I were to pick Syracuse I see myself helping a lot with shooting, but more than that by creating for other people and making shots off the dribble. I see myself like Andy Rautins and I want to be better. He was a great player for them and loved watching him.

Syracuse has two coaches talking with the prospect and one of those coaches is familiar with the halls of Mater Dei.

"Coach [Mike] Hopkins I've talked to a few times and we can relate a lot. I've also talked to Bernie Fine."

Besides the Orange a bunch of schools are about to get into the mix for Reinhardt.
"Arizona and Arizona State have been a couple recent offers of mine." A few schools that I feel will offer soon are Baylor, UTEP, Washington State, Florida, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, North Carolina State, Tennessee, UNLV, Notre Dame and a few more."
