Rank Tyler Boyd's announcement to Pittsburgh as one of the less shocking developments.
Boyd and the Pitt staff have had a very good relationship throughout his recruitment.
"I think I'm going to go with the Pitt Panthers. I'm just trying to help my family and be an inspiration to them," he said during the U.S. Army All-America Bowl.
Boyd, the No. 60 overall player in the country, has been to Pitt multiple times and has publicly stated that will take visits, probably to Michigan State, West Virginia, Tennessee, Rutgers and Penn State.
Boyd is the 22nd- and highest-rated Pitt commit in the 2013 class.
This season, Boyd rushed for 2,567 yards on 215 carries and caught 12 passes for 218 yards, scoring 50 total touchdowns.
For his career, Boyd rushed for 5,755 yards, fifth in WPIAL history, and scored 117 touchdowns, the most in WPIAL history.
