Outler showing form of old on AAU circuit
Houston Bellaire junior guard Jamel Outler was one of the most highly touted prospects in the class of 2010 in Texas early in his high school career, but an inconsistent sophomore season saw Outler lose the interest of many of the high-major programs that paid him tons of attention the year before.
This past season, Outler used his junior season to regain the confidence college coaches once had in him, and if his recent strides on the AAU circuit are any indication he'll be right back in the good graces of high-major programs once again. But for Outler, who averaged over 20 points per game this past weekend at the Next Level Ballers AAU tournament in Frisco, it's some of the so-called mid-major programs that stuck with him that have the best shot now.
One has been sticking out in particular.
