Is Cameron Tatum Still a Target?
Bruce Pearl and his staff put together a top-five caliber class with their 2006 signings, but one player '06 prospect who isn't a part of that class could still be a factor for the Vols.
Georgia prospect Cameron Tatum is a player who popped up on the Tennessee's radar late in the spring, and with prep school a potential destination for him next year, count him as a likely target in the '07 class.
Tatum (6-foot-5, 190), from Tucker, Ga., de-committed from UNC-Charlotte this in March, and promptly made an unofficial visit to Knoxville to check out Tennessee. Tatum made no secret that the Vols were his favorite at that time, though now it appears that the Vols and everyone else will have a crack at recruiting him again if he heads to prep school for a fifth-year as now seems likely.
"I'll find out for sure next month, but right now I would say that prep school is a strong possibility," Tatum said. "Nothing is completely resolved yet, but it looks like that is what is going to happen."
