Compton's Jones eyeing Oregon State
As the ball bounces at gyms across the country and college coaches hit the courts
to find that next top prospect, there is one player who is receiving a lot of
attention, Mr. Bryce Jones.
Jones is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft High School
who may not have received a ton of attention last year from the local media
because he played on Taft's JV team and hadn't played AAU ball until this year.
After transferring from View Park High in Los Angeles to Taft, Jones had to
play with the JV squad due to transfer rules, but the very talented athlete
is a high-major prospect in the 2010 class and is garnering attention from college
coaches from across the country.
Bryce will be on the summer stage with one of the nation's top club teams the
Compton Magic. Although this will be his first summer playing club basketball,
he is definitely not a late bloomer as he has always had game.
