Marra takes home hardware
Coming into this weekend, Louisville signee Mike Marra was perhaps the least known of the Cardinals' three signees in the class of 2009. The 6-4 shooting guard won the hearts of UofL fans over a two-day span however, showing he can not only knock down the three-point consistently, but also showing his athletic ability, winning the Wazoosports.com Kentucky Derby Classic's slam dunk contest on Saturday night in Freedom Hall.
Marra, whom Rick Pitino called one of the best high school shooters the coach had ever seen on signing day, finished second in the event's three-point contest on Saturday night, scoring 13 points and finishing one point behind Indiana signee Jordan Hulls and tied with another future Hoosier, Maurice Creek.
