Dixon in the middle of Missouri's win
Michael Dixon started his career in the Border War just a little bit early. In the moments after Missouri's thrilling 62-60 win over Kansas on Monday night, somewhere in the throng of college kids flooding the Mizzou Arena floor was the senior at Lee's Summit West. After the Tigers hit the game-winner, Dixon hopped the Mizzou bench and celebrated with his future teammates and classmates.
Dixon signed with the Tigers in November. He had been to Columbia for both the Cal and Iowa State games, but nothing like Monday night.
Dixon has been having some fun of his own on the basketball court. Lee's Summit West started the season 3-and-3. Dixon missed two of those losses due to injury. Since his return, the Titans have reeled off 15 straight wins and are ranked second in the state at 18-and-3. The Titans play four more regular season games in the next nine days before opening the state playoffs. Dixon hopes to return to Columbia for the state championships.
