AKRON - Michigan State has been evaluating a number of players in the Class of 2009 as Tom Izzo and the Spartans consider to examine the possibility of signing for scholarship players out of this year's senior class.

The Spartan's evaluations have taken then all over the Midwest and beyond as Michigan State has even extended their recruiting efforts into the state of Texas. Of interest to the Spartans is 6-foot-4 wing Roger Franklin.
