Williams set to battle friend, rival McDonald
The Duke Blue Devils are getting set for one of the program's two biggest games of the year as they prepare to do battle with archrival North Carolina on Wednesday. While this is certainly the biggest game of the week in college basketball, one of Duke's signees, Elliot Williams, will be participating in one of his biggest match-ups of the year as he readies himself to face off against close friend and 2009 Duke target Leslie McDonald.
Williams and his St. George's team enters the game with a strong 19-2 record, while McDonald and Briarcrest Christian will take the court with a 19-5-1 record. For Williams, however, this game will serve as his return party, after suffering an injury to his knee just a little more than three weeks ago. After seeing his doctor early last week, Williams was optimistic that he would be able to participate in tonight's game and on Monday, he confirmed to Devils Illustrated that he will indeed have the opportunity to face off with McDonald.
