The Texas Jamboree has featured several talents over the last five years. NBA players Gerald Green, Glen "Big Baby" Davis, and Daniel Gibson have each been a part of the tournament field over the years. In 2007 the talent level was once again eye catching.

Port Arthur Memorial's J'Covan Brown went off for 43 points in a 73-70 win over Houston Smiley. Dallas Lincoln freshman sensation LeBryan Nash scored a game high 23 points in the thriller of the weekend - Wheatley's 79-78 overtime win over Lincoln. Then there was the match-up between Houston Yates and Baylor signee Anthony Jones and Harvey (La.) Helen Cox featuring the nation's No. 1 2008 recruit Greg Monroe.
