Sims showing fruits of hard work
September 30, 2007 - As detailed copiously on HoyaReport.com, Class of 2008 Georgetown commit center Henry Sims has been working on his skill set away from the basket, including a mid-range shot, being comfortable around the foul line, as well as passing from that area.
Based upon his work in the Crab City Fall Classic, Sims is proving dedication pays off.
Throughout the tournament, played at the University of Maryland's Comcast Center, Sims attacked opposing defenses from around the elbow, where he deftly found teammates with passes, turned and shot, showed one or two dribbles before pulling up, or passed the ball if nothing was there.
Equally as impressive was his court sense, allowing Henry to effectively work without the basketball, either setting picks, posting, or causing shifts in the defense, thereby benefiting teammates.
Sims has steadfastly shared a desire to get better at all the above, the most recent during another September travel team tournament, the Maryland Invitational.
