Did Visit Help Sway Four-Star Point Guard?
When Tennessee's staff hit the recruiting trail this summer, one of the top priorities was identify and start recruiting some point guard targets. With the summer drawing to a close, Savannah, Ga. prospect Cashmere Wright is emerging as the Vols' top-choice at that position, and things might just be heating up with him.
Wright (6-foot-0, 170 pounds) was in town with his parents for a two day unofficial visit this past week and all signs are that the trip helped cement Tennessee's status as a serious contender to land Wright in November.
"I loved it up there, just a great trip," Wright said. "My parents liked it a lot too. We had a chance to see them practice, see how they do things since they're getting ready to go on that trip to Europe. That was real cool. We toured the campus, saw the academic support they have there, which is great. Everything was just really good, I liked it a lot."
