Iverson looking to narrow his list
Every summer there are several players who improve their recruiting stock during the month of July. You could make a pretty strong case that no one has done that more than Colton Iverson, a 6-foot-9 power forward from Yankton, S.D. Find out the very latest on Iverson, where the Hawkeyes stand, a big name entering the picture, plus much more.
"I really try not to think about it much," Iverson said of the new found attention. "It has been pretty crazy how it has picked up over the course of one month. It's good for me, I guess."
The month started with the South Dakota native picking up MVP honors at the Hoosier Shootout and that certainly got the attention of college coaches around the country.
"I was playing with the South Dakota Heat and we really played well in the tournament, winning it. I was able to get the MVP, which was a great honor and I was very proud of that," he said.
With all of the new attention from college coaches, Iverson is trying to sort through his list of suitors and cut his list shortly.
