Garcia plays well but team struggles

Peegs.com There are only 16 teams that qualified for the FIBA U19 World Championships, so you knew there would be no easy games. That is exactly what Puerto Rico has found out so far in the 11 day event that began in Serbia on July 12th. Ranked #13 in the world coming in, the Caribbean country has fallen in all five of its games in the tournament and is in danger of finishing last in the event.
One of the bright spots, however, for Puerto Rico has been the play of Angel Garcia, the 6-foot-11 forward that helped lead East Chicago Central to the 4A state title this year in Indiana.
Four schools have been most mentioned with Garcia as his likely destination: Indiana, Florida, Memphis and Louisville. One school that has been involved though is DePaul and Blue Demon coach Jerry Wainwright is in Serbia this week coaching the United States team.
