Goodson better than ever after injury
When you think of a pinky finger, you don't believe that an injury to that minor extremity could sideline you from playing a sport. You'd be wrong. Klein Collins point guard Demetri Goodson broke his right pinky finger while playing for his AAU club Houston Select in May, and missed all of a June that included camps across the country.
For Goodson, that meant missing a chance to impress college coaches. He is back on the court now, however, just in time for the July evaluation period. And even with his pinky still swollen, he has upped his game to a point that colleges are taking notice.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Goodson has scholarship offers from Gonzaga, Colorado, Texas A&M, Houston, Utah, Wichita State and Utah State with heavy interest from Oklahoma.
