Dunigan turns on heat at Top 100
June 27, 2007 - Going into the National Basketball Association Player's Association Top 100 Camp's playoff rounds, 6-foot-10, 250-pound, junior center/forward Michael Dunigan had not been what could be considered an offensive force, averaging four points (71st in camp) per game, along with 2.67 rebounds during the event's first six games.
While his numbers were not eye-popping, they can be explained to a degree by typical backcourt dominance of the ball in events such as this, as well as playing with eventual camp MVP Samardo Samuels, and acclimating himself to the high level of play.
After an eventful Saturday, in which Dunigan's Spurs team took the Gold Championship, one may definitely say Michael got his sea legs, averaging 12 points and 5.3 boards a contest in playoff round play. He saved his best for when it counted most.
In terms of which school may be chosen, Dunigan is wide open in his recruitment, repeatedly declining to list individual schools that hold his interest, though he did respond, "of course," when asked if G'Town was in fact one of the contending schools.
