Releford Talks KU
For KU, the first domino of the 2008 recruiting class dropped on Tuesday night. At that time, Travis Releford, the four-star shooting guard from Bishop Miege High School in Shawnee Mission, Kan., became the first player from the class to give the Jayhawks a verbal commitment. Jayhawk Slant spoke to Releford about his decision and what role he will take, if any, in trying to recruit other players to Kansas.
Releford's decision to attend the University of Kansas might not have been as easy as expected. With schools like Kansas State, Louisville, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona and Connecticut making a strong push for the No. 66 ranked player in the class, Releford certainly had a number of options to consider.
