Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinal basketball program have landed a huge commitment for the class of 2008. Samardo Samuels, a five-star player and the No. 6-rated overall prospect in the class has committed to sign with U of L.

Samuels, a 6-foot-9, 230-pound power forward from St. Benedict's H.S. in New Jersey, told Cardinalsports.com that he called and committed to Louisville during the day on Tuesday.
