Moore has developed into top-flight prospect
Brandon Moore's high-school basketball career has been anything but smooth.
Hurricane Katrina hit the New Orleans area at the beginning of Moore's sophomore season, As a result, Moore was forced to leave Holy Cross High School.
After spending more than a year away from Louisiana, Moore returned to Holy Cross after its basketball team had started the past season. Led by Moore, Holy Cross advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class 5A playoffs.
Despite all the distractions, Moore has improved as a player. In fact, heading into his senior year, Moore is considered the second best player in Louisiana - trailing only Greg Monroe of Helen Cox, currently considered the top prospect in the nation.
"There is one thing that Brandon has established," Holy Cross coach Juan Lumas said. "He now has a great level of confidence. He has come a long way from his freshman year as an all-around player."
