Duke moving up for Williams
Earlier this spring, Duke jumped head first into the recruiting battle for Memphis (Tenn.) St. George's class of 2008 guard Elliot Williams, and an unofficial visit to check out the Blue Devils prior to this weekend's Tournament of Champions in the Triangle has clearly helped Duke's chances.
Williams was clearly enthusiastic as he spoke about his conversation with Mike Krzyzewski and the rest of the Duke staff, who offered the 6-4, 175 pound guard just a few weeks ago.
Williams says right now Duke and Tennessee stand out as the schools that have recruited him the most aggressively, but he adds that there are no favorites right now and that all schools recruiting him have been pretty aggressive.
Memphis, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Texas are some of the other schools who have been on his heels.
