Singleton another SF on Cats' radar for '08
It's becoming more evident that a long, versatile wing forward will be a priority for Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie in the Class of 2008.
The Wildcats have already targeted several highly-regarded players who fit that description in the junior class, including Canton (Ga.) Cherokee standout Chris Singleton.
The 6-foot-9, 215-pound Singleton has drawn favorable comparisons to both former UK All-American Tayshaun Prince and recent Florida Gator star Corey Brewer due to his versatility on both ends of the floor. The new Wildcat staff apparently liked what it saw when they scouted his Atlanta Celtics AAU squad in the Kingwood Classic.
In addition to UK, he's drawing heavy interest from Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Clemson, UConn, Indiana and Cincinnati.
