Markel Starks was very heavily recruited by a number of local private schools when he was coming out of the eighth grade at Mater Dei, and eventually opted for Georgetown Prep. He's a quick, 6-0, 157 lbs. point guard who likes to take the ball into the lane to score or create off the dribble, he is also a good shooter out to the three-point arc. The package makes him a likely bet to be one of the Class of 2010's most highly recruited prospects.
