Osby injures ankle in Nashville
After a frustrating performance in Pittsburgh two weekends ago, Romero Osby was hoping to bounce back this past weekend in Nashville for the King of The South Tournament. The 6-foot-8, 230-pound small forward from Northeast Lauderdale High School in Meridian, Miss., was well on his way to doing just that before suffering an ankle injury. Will the five-star prospect be out for an extended period of time, or will he be ready to go with Southeast Elite takes the court in May?
"Romero sprained his ankle this weekend in Nashville," said Daryl Osby, Romero's father. "He left all of his ankle braces at the house in Mississippi and didn't get taped before the game. He had a big game against Scotty Hopson at 8:00 on Saturday morning, so he was concentrating on that.
Osby, the No. 4 ranked small forward, has scholarship offers from Kansas, Memphis, Texas, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia Tech and Ole Miss. Additionally, Florida, North Carolina, Southern California, Louisville and Connecticut are also in the mix.
