Leitao, UVa continue pursuit of Landesberg
One of the most versatile players in the class of 2008 is Sylven Landesberg. The 6-foot-6, 195-pounder from Holy Cross High School in New York can play point guard, shooting guard and small forward, and he has a great understanding of how to play the game. Coach Dave Leitao and Virginia are among several who are recruiting Landesberg, and he gave CavsCorner an exclusive update on where things stand.
Landesberg had a big junior season for Holy Cross, which after winning the Brooklyn/Queens Diocesan championship lost in the CHSAA Intersectional semifinals to St. Raymond's, and observers have taken notice.
He averaged 27 points, 12 rebounds and six assists per game as a junior, and he is now rated as the No. 27 overall prospect in the class of 2008 by Rivals.com.
