Several sources spent most of Monday night reporting that Wilmington (NC) New Hanover's Ty Walker has made a verbal commitment to Skip Prosser and the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest.

Walker, a 6-foot-11, 200-pound five-star center has given indication that Wake was one of his top schools but the commitment comes as somewhat of a surprise. Wake fans knew landing Walker was a possibility but no one expected it to happen this soon.

If the commitment stands the pick up would be huge for Prosser who has been searching for a boost in recruiting. Walker is ranked No. 19 in the Rivals Top 150 prospects and he stands as the second best center prospect in the nation.
