Osby ready for the spring circuit
Meridian small forward Romero Osby turned in another dominant season in the state of Mississippi as a junior for Northeast Lauderdale. The No. 15-ranked prospect in the 2008 class averaged 25 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, four blocked shots and two steals as a junior and was recently selected first-team all state.
The 2007 season was a second straight of dominance by the 6-foot-8, 230-pound forward. As a sophomore, Osby averaged 23 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, three blocked shots and two steals per game. With the level of dominance by the five-star prospect, it should come without surprise that offers have flooded in from the likes of Kansas, Florida, Memphis, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Ole Miss, among many others.
