The class of 2008 is a big one for the Xavier Musketeers. They have numerous scholarships to fill at key positions and need to bring in a big class. Xavier got the 2008 class off to a good start with a commitment from Mark "Cheeks" Lyons.

A big reason Xavier was able to get early interest from Lyons is because of a former Muskie from the same area. Lionel Chalmers, a former Xavier point guard, played his high school ball at nearby Albany High School, and he is someone that Lyons watched a lot when he was younger.
