Texas makes the cut for five-star guard
The Texas Longhorns have found themselves in the envious position of attracting some of the nation's top basketball players in the 2008 class with the success of Kevin Durant. One of the young stars taking a long look at Texas is Aston, Pa. guard Tyreke Evans. Evans burst onto the national scene as a freshman with strong showings on the AAU circuit and during his freshman high school season. Evans, who plays at American Christian School, has continued to be highly though of in the 2008 class with continued strong performances on the AAU circuit.
Evans has cut his list to eight finalists. The list of schools consists of Texas, UConn, Florida, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Memphis, North Carolina, Texas and Villanovoa.
