WazzuWatch.com The Cougars and Trojans will play their final regular season games in Pullman today and at least one thing is assured - they won't be playing as if it were their last games - because each team is headed to post-season play after the conference tournament. With that decided and the conference title already sewn up by UCLA, there is no real motivation for conference tournament seeding for either team.
"You're just picking your poison," says USC head men's hoop coach Tim Floyd.
WSU will want to win their final home game that will be the last appearance of senior Ivory Clark, of course, but the primary motivation that remains is mostly on the Trojans' side as they attempt to exact revenge for the game way back in December when it appeared USC had the game locked up only to watch Kyle Weaver and Wazzu snatch a victory from defeat in their first trip to the Galen Center. The Cougars were just beginning to hit their stride back then and USC was still seeking their strut - but both have improved since.
