Small school star visits Norman

SoonerScoop.com The state of Oklahoma is no stranger to prominent shooters. As a freshman at Georgia Tech, former Enid, Okla., basketball star Mark Price burst onto the scene as one of the best 3-point shooters in college basketball. There have been many comparisons drawn between the former northern Oklahoma high school sharpshooter and current small school star out of Verdigris High School in Claremore, Okla., northeast of Tulsa. Shooting guard Rotnei Clarke and Price were both considered undersized shooters, both standing at 6-feet tall. Whether Clarke's career is as successful as that of Price remains to be seen, but there is no doubt there has been plenty of strong interest to hint towards a strong future at the next level. Clarke has offers from Oklahoma, Arizona State, Marquette, Tulsa, Florida State, Arkansas, Washington State and Nebraska.
