Hamilton goes in-depth on his signing class
Florida State basketball coach Leonard Hamilton officially announced his three-player signing class for the early signing period - center Solomon Alabi, from Montverde Academy; forward Julian Vaughn, from Oak Hill Academy; and wing Jordan DeMercy, from Norcross, Ga. Hamilton spent a few minutes talking about the class with the Osceola's Jim Lamar. Here is a transcript of that conversation.
Q: What are your initial thoughts about this signing class?
A: This class represents the direction we're trying to move our program. Jordan is versatile, athletic and a very good shooter. Julian is versatile and can play inside and outside. He's a good passer and can shoot it. And Solomon is an athletic defender, shot-blocker and rebounder and is probably a little further along offensively than most people think he is. He is eager to learn. They all have great attitudes and great work ethic and they are each very excited to become a part of what we are doing and that's very important. We seem to be attracting the kind of people who want to be a part of coming and helping us build a program and make a difference.
