Arizona State's new coaching staff may not have been able to move mountains in order to land a commitment from Artesia, Calif., star James Harden, but they probably would have put forth a good effort if they felt it necessary.

With Harden's mother planning to move to the Phoenix-area even before the hire of Herb Sendek at the University, a door was cracked open to the possibility of this likely future McDonald's All-American playing his college ball in Tempe.
