With football most definitely in the air right now, it might seem an odd time to be talking about basketball recruiting. In recent years it might have been, but Bruce Pearl has changed a lot of things in Knoxville, with recruiting success being one of them. With a stellar class in '05 behind him, Pearl and his staff are working to follow that up with another elite haul.

One target who has emerged, and will be making an official visit in the upcoming weeks is Florida's Chandler Parsons, Rivals.com's No. 30 overall prospect.

Pearl's program is currently one of seven schools that Parsons (6-foot-8, 190 pounds) says he is still considering. In addition to Tennessee, the lists consists of Florida, LSU, Notre Dame, Indiana, Oklahoma and South Florida.
